A list of terms from an educational handout issued to trainees at the Naval Reserve Indoctrination School at U.S. Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida in December of 1942 provided these coffee-related terms in their list of “service jargon”:

Prison slang in the 1930s lists “Jamoca,” attributed to a combination of the words Java and Mocha, as a slang term for coffee.

Hobo slang has coffee as “hot stuff,” “mud,” or “embalming fluid.”
